Shidao New Port Co., Ltd. is located in Rongcheng Shidao, the easternmost part of the Shandong Peninsula. It faces South Korea and Japan across the sea and is the closest place to China from South Korea. It was inhabited since the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. It became an important commercial port on the eastern coast during the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
